Super Ball Shooter Game Template

🚀 Project Start
We wanted to create a highly polished drag-to-aim ball shooter template—something simple, powerful, and easy for developers to expand. Inspired by classic brick breaker and bouncing ball games, we aimed to deliver a mobile-friendly, plug-and-play Unity project with clean code and satisfying physics.
🔧 Development Goals
-
âś… Mobile-ready with touch controls
-
âś… Simple drag-and-shoot mechanic
-
âś… Modular structure for easy editing
-
âś… Object pooling for performance
-
âś… Score tracking and round logic
-
âś… Clean UI and demo scene
-
âś… Optimized for 2D portrait gameplay
🛠️ Build Process
We started by prototyping the ball shooting mechanic using Unity’s physics system and fine-tuned the trajectory prediction and bounce feel. Once that was solid, we built a reusable Block system with adjustable health values and auto-destruction. A custom Block Spawner adds randomness and replayability by spawning new blocks per round.
Object pooling was implemented early to avoid performance spikes when firing many balls. We also added score tracking and a round system that scales difficulty.
📱 Mobile First
We tested the template thoroughly on Android and iOS resolutions, making sure drag controls felt intuitive and gameplay scaled well to different screen sizes.
✨ Final Polish
To finish, we layered in juicy feedback:
-
Ball trails and bounce
-
Block hit effects
-
UI animations and transitions
-
A clean Game Over flow and replay button
Everything is editable, modular, and beginner-friendly—designed to help devs build their own ball shooter games faster.
âś… Status: Released
The template is now live and ready to use! Whether you want to build a clone of Ballz, a physics puzzle, or your own original arcade game, this kit will get you there faster.
